Thermguard (Pty) Ltd was established in 1984 to manufacture Thermguard Cellulose Fibre Insulation and since that time we have literally manufactured millions of bags of product. We have been producing Thermguard for 24 years thus should you choose our product you will be fitting a proven product that's stood the test of time. As they say the "proof of the pudding is in the eating".
Thermguard is manufactured from recycled newsprint with harmless household chemicals added to make the product fire retardant and insect and rodent resistant.
The key to manufacturing the product is to ensure that the chemicals are added to the newsprint accurately and consistently i.e. each bag made has the correct amount of chemicals added. Our plant ensures this hence our track record. However smaller manufacturers who have copied our product may not be able to achieve this accuracy. The bags may contain less chemicals than they should contain and this could lead to a potentially devastating fire in your roof space. This scenario actually happened in Great Britain. Thus ensure you fit the proven product.
